With that said, for those who might have used both versions of the Strix (4), which one performed better at 1080P with High to Ultra settings and allowed some entry level 1440P. I even through the card into an old Phenom II machine and experienced the same driver issue. Just to confirm, I used DDU in safe mode each time I switched drivers. In addition, no matter which driver set I installed, I was unable to get the additional radeon settings to show adjustments for the brightness, contrast and most important to me, the vibrancy adjustment like the nvidia control panel has. I picked up an open by Strix RX480 OC, did some testing (with my X99 system) and it was okay, was expecting better 1080P experience with some turned up settings. The machine will primarily be on a 1080P screen but occasionally on one of my Acer Predators (1440P). I am building up a secondary computer based on Ryzen to finally start gaming on my 100-inch projector setup again.
